Unemployment and the economy
In Hounslow and across our nation we need to reinvent our economy to produce high value products & services for the local and global marketplace. Hounslow Council has a small and over-stretched economic development team, which is why I remain committed to helping broker introductions between local businesses, skills agencies and the Council. This will help ensure that more apprenticeships are developed in the area over the next few years.
Too many children are leaving school without the right knowledge and skills to be successful. That's why I am a supporter of Education Business Partnerships, as well as the development of apprenticeships in the borough.
