Andrew Dakers' and the local Liberal Democrats' campaign for real change in our local communities is a truly grassroots campaign – no corporate money, no special interests.

Unlike the Conservatives who receive many large donations from big businesses and multi-millionaires and Labour who receive Trade Union funding, the Liberal Democrats mainly rely on our members and supporters for funding. With thousands of supporters across the country each making a small donation, we raise our funds to pay for leaflets, newspapers and campaigning.

In order to beat Mary Macleod the current MP at the next election, our campaign will need to come close to matching the well funded Labour and Conservative campaigns. Every extra pound we have to spend in Brentford, Chiswick, Hounslow and Isleworth on the campaign will be used to get the message of Andrew Dakers and the Liberal Democrats across.

What your money could buy

To give you an idea of where the money will go:
- £1 will fund the campaign to text 20 supporters
- £10 lets us leaflet 1000 people in a town centre
- £50 gives us a month's worth of Google Ads
- £150 pays for 500 Team Dakers badges
- £200 will print 1000 posters for our supporters' windows
- £500 will pay for a month's worth of Facebook adverts
- £1,000 gives us the chance to send a tabloid newspaper to 20,000 people
- £2,500 pays for a simple election address to be posted to all registered voters
- £5,000 enables us to rent a billboard in a town centre for a month

Donor checklist

No restrictions apply on donations under £200. Parties can only accept a donation or loan with a value of more than £200 if the donor or lender is in the following categories:
- an individual registered in a UK electoral register (including bequests).
- a UK registered trade union, building society or friendly society.
- a UK registered company which is incorporated within the EU or limited liability partnership that carry on business in the UK.
- a UK based unincorporated association that carry on business or other activities in the UK.
